About the show
Sheila V Toff is the perfect 1950s housewife. Her home is spotless, her husband is happy and every difficult emotion is safely hidden beneath a glamorous smile and a strong martini.
But as Sheila guides us through her seemingly perfect domestic life, the cracks begin to show.
Featuring original songs, vintage advertisements and biting comedy, Sheila! The Musical is a hilarious and unexpectedly moving look at gender, loneliness and the pressure to be perfect.

The artists
Writer, composer and performer
Jay Hill is a singer, actor and drag performer originally from Manchester, England. Inspired by the glamorous and complicated world of the 1950s housewife, Jay created Sheila V Toff as a way to explore gender, family expectations and the lives people hide beneath perfect appearances.
Director and producer
Adam Khomsi is a musician, theatre-maker and producer based in Youbou, British Columbia. He directed and helped develop Sheila! The Musical, shaping its original music, comedy and darker emotional journey.
Production company
Have It Off Productions creates bold, queer performance combining music, comedy, drag and theatre. Its work embraces camp and entertainment while exploring identity, relationships and the pressure to conform.
